The Great Salt Lake serves a critical role in many Utah industries and recreations. For Utahns living in Northern Utah, the Great Salt Lake plays a major role in providing conditions that sustain life, including human life. Finding ways to preserve and restore the Great Salt Lake while also providing water to agriculture and other needs is a high priority.
